Tras el tanto del Cuervo, Amiconi marcó el inicio del entretiempo. Mientras los hombres del Decano se juntaban en la mitad de la cancha para entrar al vestuario, desde las tribunas llegaron cantos contra el equipo. Esta situación hizo protagonista al Loco Díaz quien antes de salir de la cancha intercambió insultos con los plateistas. Esto marcaría el inicio de un quiebre entre el delantero y el público.

Cuando el árbitro marcó el final del encuentro la cancha volvió a explotar en insultos al equipo. Esto provocó la reacción de Díaz quien nuevamente insultó a los simpatizantes y hasta incluso pidió entrar a la platea para pelear con los mismos. La seguridad no se lo permitió y esto marcó el fin de la relación entre el jugador y los fanáticos.

¿Pero por qué tanto enojo? El reclamo de los jugadores del Deca resultó inentendible para los socios que partido a partido se esfuerzan por estar presentes en el Monumental. En un contexto donde la sociedad atraviesa un difícil momento económico y un partido de fútbol muchas veces es una escapatoria del mal presente, los hombres del Decano reclamaron la falta de pago de premios a pesar de la irregular campaña hecha hasta ahora en el Clausura.
La decisión, impulsada principalmente por el capitán Leandro Díaz, molestó a los simpatizantes y generó que a lo largo del cotejo reciba insultos. Su reacción contra la gente y el mal rendimiento contra San Lorenzo fueron detonantes para que la relación se rompiera por completo.
Esta derrota dejó al Deca octavo y como el último clasificado a los octavos de final. Por su parte, el Ciclón se mantuvo en la sexta posición pero con una importante ventaja en puntos. El Cuervo atraviesa un momento aún más delicado que Atlético debido a que los jugadores no cobran su sueldo hace meses y permanentemente la justicia amenaza con declarar al club en quiebra.
Los de Pusineri deberán aprovechar el parate debido a las elecciones para trabajar en lo futbolístico e intentar sumar para que la relación con los socios se recupere de a poco. Para ello deberá sumar en su visita a Avellaneda cuando enfrente a Independiente. Por su parte San Lorenzo recibirá a Deportivo Riestra. La confirmación de los días y horarios aún se desconoce.
